AI Use & Limitations Policy
1. Purpose
This AI Use & Limitations Policy explains how artificial intelligence (“AI”) is used within The Progress Collective platform and sets out important limitations and user responsibilities when relying on AI-generated outputs.
2. Use of Artificial Intelligence
The Progress Collective uses AI-enabled tools to assist users with activities such as business process mapping, document drafting, workflow analysis, and related governance artefacts.
AI features are designed to support productivity and insight generation and are provided as an aid to human decision-making.
3. Nature of AI-Generated Outputs
AI-generated outputs are produced using probabilistic models and may:
- be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated
- contain assumptions or generalisations
- reflect patterns in data rather than verified facts
- produce similar or identical outputs for different users
AI outputs do not represent the views or endorsements of The Progress Collective.
4. No Professional Advice
AI-generated outputs provided through the Services do not constitute legal, engineering, safety, compliance, financial, or other professional advice.
The Services are intended for decision-support purposes only.
5. User Responsibility and Human Review
You are solely responsible for:
- reviewing AI-generated outputs for accuracy and completeness
- validating outputs before use or implementation
- ensuring compliance with applicable laws, standards, and organisational requirements
- applying appropriate professional judgement and human oversight
You must not rely on AI-generated outputs as a sole source of truth or as a substitute for professional judgement.
6. Prohibited Reliance
You must not use AI-generated outputs:
- as the sole basis for legal, regulatory, safety, or compliance decisions
- to make decisions that could materially impact individuals or organisations without independent review
- in any way that could reasonably result in harm if the output is incorrect
7. Data and AI Processing
Content you submit to the platform may be processed by AI systems to generate outputs and improve the Services, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We do not sell user content or personal information.
8. Changes to AI Functionality
AI features may evolve over time as we improve the Services. We may modify, enhance, limit, or discontinue AI functionality at any time.
9. Relationship to Other Policies
This policy should be read in conjunction with our:
- Terms of Use
- Privacy Policy
- Acceptable Use Policy
In the event of any inconsistency, the Terms of Use will prevail.
11. AI Model Providers
AI functionality within the Services may utilise third-party AI technology providers. These providers process user inputs solely for the purpose of generating requested outputs and operating the Services.
Customer data submitted through the platform is not used by The Progress Collective to train public AI models unless explicitly disclosed.
AI-generated outputs are intended to support productivity and analysis but must always be reviewed and validated by users before operational use.
